Grass Sickled

A gardener recently “mowed” the lawn at my house in Afghanistan.  I was surprised to watch him cut the grass with a sickle.  He chopped (I mean cut) small chunks of grass.  It took him a couple of hours.

    Just checking in with you and the Blog. So,does everyone garden like that? That picture is to much.and really hard to believe in this day and age. But certainly a simpler way of life. It could be very therapeutic, cutting a few blades of grass at a time. Keep up the Blogging. See ya on your safe return.
